Founded almost five decades ago, The Liberty Group began as an executive search firm serving the Houston multifamily and commercial real estate markets. From the very beginning, the focus was clear: connect the right people to the right opportunities and create long-term value for the businesses we served.

As our reputation grew, so did our reach. Liberty became a trusted national partner, placing real estate executives and professionals in 47 of the 50 states. Today, many of the most innovative and successful multifamily organizations across the country are led by executives who began their journey through The Liberty Group.

A Timeline Shaped by Demand

Expanding to meet real workforce needs

1977–1980s

Liberty begins as an executive search firm, building deep expertise and trusted relationships within the multifamily and commercial real estate industries.

1990

As client needs expanded, Liberty introduced temporary staffing services for the Houston multifamily housing industry. Rapid demand led to broader support across office and professional roles, allowing clients to scale their teams with confidence.

1995

Liberty Screening Services was launched to meet growing demand for pre-employment screening, background checks, and drug testing. This addition created a more seamless hiring experience and strengthened Liberty’s ability to support clients end-to-end.

2000s

Liberty expanded into contract employment services, offering organizations flexible access to specialized talent for both short- and long-term needs.
