Assistant Property Manager – Section 8 Housing Experience Required (Temp-to-Hire)
We are seeking a highly capable Assistant Property Manager with strong experience working within Section 8 housing programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Property Manager who is looking to step into a role with slightly reduced responsibility while still remaining actively involved in day-to-day property operations.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and confident working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. You should be comfortable multitasking, problem-solving, and supporting overall site operations with minimal direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations of a Section 8 housing community
- Assist with compliance-related tasks and resident certification processes
- Coordinate resident communications and general property needs
- Partner with management to ensure smooth site operations
- Maintain accurate records and support leasing/administrative functions as needed
- Utilize Yardi for property management tasks and reporting
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Property Manager strongly preferred
- Direct experience working within Section 8 or affordable housing programs is required
- Strong working knowledge of Yardi (required)
- Highly organized with strong multitasking ability
- Ability to learn quickly and remain effective in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable stepping into a support-focused role after higher-level PM experience
Position Details:

This role is ideal for someone who brings deep property management experience and compliance knowledge but is seeking a more balanced, hands-on support role within a structured affordable housing environment.
Pay ranges from $27 to $29 per hour, depending on experience.
